Modals for Polite Requests

In class, we are practising using modals (e.g., would, could, can) for  making polite requests. Here are some online practice activities for you to try at home.

Listening Practice Websites

To practise listening to English speakers, you can check out these websites.

1. LINC-Canada. Click on LINC 3 and choose the themes and topics that you want to listen to. There are listening exercises below the video.

2. The Listening Room. The speed is a little bit fast, so you might want to start with Level I. Click on the topic you like. Listen and answer the questions.
